Badger Hill Brewing Appoints Chris Hamman Head Brewer
March 9, 2020Badger Hill Brewing Company Announces Special Release F5 Blackberry Kettle Sour Can Distribution
January 26, 2021A new collaboration is on the horizon for Badger Hill Brewing Company, and it will start production soon in order to release just in time for the celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8th. Badger Hill will be participating in a collaboration with women who brew from around the state of Minnesota through an idea spearheaded by Badger Hill brewer Ariel Keeton.
Keeton is set to kick off this collaboration, which will become a series. She has designed a recipe for a West Coast Style IPA, which will begin its brewing journey on Friday, February 5th during which time all of the participating brewers will be present at Badger Hill to help brew it. But this is just the beginning.
This collaboration is intended to stretch its production to twice a year. The participating brewers will brew at each other’s breweries following recipes thought up by the brewer representing that particular location. In short: “She will host at her own brewery, she’ll write a recipe that fits stylistically with her taproom, her brewery, and her taste — and we’ll go from there.” Keeton explained.
“It’s a way for us to not only get to know each other, but to get together and do something that we’re passionate about,” Keeton continued. “Since there are not a lot of women production brewers in the state, it’s cool just to meet other women who professionally brew beer, talk shop, and see how we do our processes differently.”
This inaugural collaborative brew will be available exclusively though Badger Hill in a 750ml size and its label will include the logos of all participating breweries. It is expected to be available on or around International Women’s Day, which falls annually on March 8th. This West Coast IPA will be called “Nevertheless”.
The confirmed list of participating brewery locations include: Badger Hill Brewing, Castle Danger Brewing, ENKI Brewing, Lift Bridge Brewery, Pryes Brewing, South x SouthEast Brewing, Surly Brewing, Torg Brewery, Under Pressure Brewing, Uteplis Brewing, and Waconia Brewing.
The entire Badger Hill team is excited to prepare for and execute this exciting collaboration between women brewers across Minnesota. More details will become available as the release date gets closer. Those interested in learning more can follow the Badger Hill Brewing Company social media accounts, email info@badgerhillbrewing.com or call the taproom’s direct phone line at 952-230-2739 for further information on this exciting project and its corresponding “Nevertheless” IPA beer release.
